uex - abandoned hotel @ alyko, naxos

A quiet little beach next to a cedar forest would be the ideal spot for a hotel. It was during a politically turbulent era in Greece that all licensing was pursued and obtained, but as things normalized all building activity stopped. The hotel was never to be erected, but it became host to street artists from all over the world. Light and darkness are the canvas for full color graffiti, while would-be windows afford a view to the surrounding areas. Art will always find a way.
